Auto Populate Multiple Jira fields from Object ID in Salesforce

We have a Jira ticketing system implemented that relies on information stored in our Salesforce system. I want to create issue tickets in Jira that auto populates fields from Salesforce based on a distinct SF ID without having to interact with Salesforce.

One of our SF objects is a system object. Ideally, I want to create a Jira ticket and choose the System ID based on its display name from a dropdown list or auto populated field. Then, based on this ID, it will autopull fields from the system object. I would not want to affect the system object via Jira for this type of object.

Then, I want to auto-create a ticket object based on this System ID. The information flow in this case would be bi-directional for both custom fields and those that were originally pulled from the System Object.

Is this feasible using the connector? I have it installed and am trouble with creating a custom field in Jira where I can auto-populate the system ID/name.

I followed these set of instructions, but when I get to step 10 there's nothing to choose from under remote system, even though the connector is connected to SF:
