Hi Fahad,

That option is to enable/disable case comment syncing upon a sync request from Salesforce to JIRA (can be by pulling updates from JIRA).

To enable automatic synchronization of comments from Salesforce to JIRA you need to implement Apex triggers for Case comment in Salesforce.

Please refer to the documentation here and here.

Cheers,
Aidin

Hi Fahad,

If you wan the Connector to fire an update in case there is a new Case Comment, th only way is to use Apex triggers.

Hi Fahad,

Please refer to the documentation here.

The linking endpoint does not entertain any synchronization. As stated in the documentation you need to use association in order to be able sync back any fields or comments.

Aidin

Dear Aidin,

As on 'Link' event we have a salesforce case URL (reference) on JIRA issue.
Why don't we have JIRA issue URL (reference) on salesforce case on 'Link' event?

Thanks,
Fahad

Hi Fahad,

As mentioned by Aidin in the previous commment, the Link action doesn't support the synchronization functionality and it only retrieves the read-only information from Salesforce.com to JIRA.

You have to associate the JIRA issue and Salesforce record to enable the synchronization between Salesforce.com and JIRA.
Why don't we have JIRA issue URL (reference) on salesforce case on 'Link' event?
Can you please provide us with a screenshot of the JIRA issue that has been linked to a Salesforce.com Case?

Can you please ensure that the Remote Object Link custom field has been added into the screen?

Thank you.

Regards,
Victor Law

I am using the JIRA Rest API to synchronize the case comments, but getting an error.

"System.CalloutException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found"

I found this error in Salesforce debug logs. Please suggest.

Here is the Endpoint=https://jiradev.example.example.com/rest/customware/connector/1.0/2/Case/500O0000009dfi7IAA/issu...

Also adding the JIRA url in the Remote Site Setting in Salesforce. but still getting the error.

Hi Fahad,

Just to confirm, your base url is: jiradev.example.example.com ?

Adding the url in remote site settings is not enough. That will just add the url in trusted list.

You need to configure your firewall to expose JIRA to salesforce.com

Aidin

Hi Fahad,

You need to contact your IT/Network department and consult with them.

This is network infrastructure setting and it differs for each company.
