This was posted by me here in atlassian answers before finding this community:

I've been requested to investigate a way to cleanup old wiki pages from our confluence server. I've been thinking about a creating my own custom plugin, with a periodic job that gets pages and checks if a removal proccess can be started. For that I need to check page view statistics, as hit count and last date visited.

I see that Tracking Plugin here has macros that are able to show this data. My questions are:

  • Can I get the tracking information that Tracking Plugin" stores for a page from my own custom plugin?
  • In case I can, which kind of datasource does Tracking Plugin provides to do it?
  • Is it there any API I can use to get this information?

Las but not least, it seems that tracking plugin will only have statistics from the time of its installation, so I won't have information of pages visited before that moment, am I right?
