Error rendering macro 'pageapproval' : null

We just installed version 4.1.1 of the Page Approval addon in our version 5.10.3 instance of Confluence.

We are able to setup an approval section on one of our existing pages, requiring approval from 3 existing users.

When logged in, everything displays properly, and functions as expected.

However, if the page is visited by an anonymous (not logged in) user, the page renders as expected, but the "Page Approval Macro" generates the following error:

Error rendering macro 'pageapproval' : null

If there something we are missing in the configuration of the macro?  Or is it expected behaviour that one must be logged in before the PageApproval macro will render?

Any insight will be appreciate!

Hi Diarmad,

I have consulted our project team in regards the error thrown. This is an expected behavior.

However, I have raised an improvement request on the error thrown. At the meantime, for future updates and announcements please subscribe to our ServiceRocket community.

Thank you.
