eval-data variables

Still have the problem of using variables in eval-data macro. Or finding a workaround.

Ultimately I need to show the result of a calculation in a report table from a child page. Hope can this be done. Report-table is reporting from child pages and specific fields in them. What I then want to grab is a calculation of 4 fields in the child page that are currently using a report-eval macro as it can use variables in the calculation. However report-eval only works when the page is rendered (so to say) therefore if i access the report-eval in the parent pages report-table macro using report-info %variabe:x% it returns zero.

However, if i user eval-data adding four fields together i get a result. However, I I want to use a variable in macro it just doesn't work.

There seems to be a feature in Scaffolding / Reporting that just isn't there. What we could almost do with is the ability to assign a field or variable name to report-info. This way we could reuse that value elsewhere. Alternatively have the report-eval macro store

Of course if there is a solution, then happy to understand how to do this.

The other option is to present the value in a user macro.
