I am trying to display the case owner name in the case reference custom field on my JIRA issue but could not succeed. I could successfully display all other required fields except for this.
Could you please explain how to get the owner name displayed?

JIRA version:7.1.7
Connector version: 6.0.9

Thanks,
Vaani

Hello Vaani,

There is currently no direct way to display the Case Owner in the custom field. However, I can provide you with a workaround that will allow you to display the Case Owner.

To display Case Owner:-
  1. Create a new custom field of type Remote Object Link.
  2. Put in the name of the field and add it to the necessary screens.
  3. In the Custom Fields screen, look for the newly created custom field and click configure.
  4. Next to Configurations:, click Edit Configurations.
  5. Change Remote Object Type to User.
  6. Put $fields.get("Name") into Body and Submit.
  7. Go to JIRA -> Add-ons -> Left panel under Cloud Connectors, click Mappings -> Your Mapping -> Configure
  8. Add mappings: New field name(JIRA Field) and Owner ID(Remote Field)
  9. Go to your JIRA Issue and do a manual pull if it's associated with the Salesforce Case OR edit and add the ObjectID into the new field.

Regards,
Adrien
