The first update of this quarter brings you:

Traceability when transferring Enrollments  We've added significantly more traceability when an enrollment is transferred from one learner to another. As an administrator, you have a variety of options while making that transfer: To refund the original learner or not, to charge the new learner or not, transferring to the same class or different class, etc.

With this update, we:

  1. Optimize how orders and order lines are created for each of these conditions to be more intuitive. For example, if there is no transfer and no refund, no new order line is created because there's no movement of money.
For example, when this enrollment is transferred to Jane Doe from John Doe with no payment or refund, both enrollments exist under the same order line - John's newly cancelled enrollment and Jane's newly confirmed enrollment.

  2. Add meaningful comments that capture the full scenario of each transfer, for future traceability and reporting.
Templatizing Public Catalog Pages With this update we've added a framework to move away from maintaining separate customisations for LDE public catalog pages for each of our customers. Instead, the framework will support in-app configuration options that will allow for page templates to be selected and applied from a library. The initial goal of the framework is to speed up deployment cycles, minimize the need for customer branches of the core application and move towards a common codebase for all LDE customers.

The framework is split into 3 key sections:

  • Layouts - Select the Global main layout used for all catalog pages. This allows for a custom skin main layout to be selected within LDE.
  • Stylesheets - Custom stylesheets for a Skin are no longer tied to a customer branch. The styling files are stored within static files and enabled using System settings. There is also a new inline CSS box which is an advanced option for overriding the default styling.
  • Templates - Templates for public catalog page types can be switched and changed from a predefined list of core templates providing for a more flexible experience when setting up your LDE instance. This Library will grow overtime with a range of templates to choose from.

The eventual goal of this framework is to create a library of templates that will place the power of configuring the public pages directly into your hands, as a customer of LDE.

Enabling Revenue Recognition for Training Credits In the spirit of continuous improvement, our team is developing a robust way to report on training that's purchased with Training Credits. Calculating the currency-based value of an item purchased with Training Credits, so that the currency value can be used in Revenue Recognition reports, is the main focus of this improvement. This release includes 5 tickets for that feature.

Personalized Catalog Views Our team is making steady progress towards the next strategic feature - Personalized Catalog Views. The feature, when ready, will allow LDE administrators to create tailored and personalized catalog page page offerings for select viewers. This release includes 3 tickets for that feature.

Integration with TrueAbility LDE is expanding it's Certification offering by partnering with TrueAbility to deliver integrated performance based assessment and testing. This release includes 5 tickets towards that work.

Bug Fixes & Improvements This release includes over 24 bug fixes, improvements and new features from the previous release
