I Just installed the salesforce.com and jira server connector plugin. I have added application URL with same RPC URL and Display URL. But I am not successful establishing the connection.I tried the following:
i. reset security token and append that to passowrd while configuration.
ii. add my JIRA ip in the trusted IP range on salesforce. Here I have given my original credentials without security token.
iii. i restarted jira instance

I keep getting the following error when trying to Test the connection:

"Failed to establish connection to remote system
; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
Error Details (click to expand)
net.customware.plugins.connector.core.exception.ConnectorIOException: ; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect at net.customware.plugins.connector.salesforce.manager.impl.DefaultSalesforceManager.resolveRemoteExceptionCase(DefaultSalesforceManager.java:205) at net.customware.plugins.connector.salesforce.manager.impl.DefaultSalesforceManager.testConnection(DefaultSalesforceManager.java:191) at "

Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Thank you.

Hi Kheng,

It was a firewall issue. Once the firewall exception was added on JIRA server, the connection was successful.

Thanks,
Vaani

Hi Aidin,

My company does not want to add firewall exceptions anymore and wants us to use proxy. Could you please describe the steps to do that?

Thanks,
Vaani

Hi Vaani,

It seems like you internal network configurations is blocking the packets and the JIRA is not accessible. I believe there is no other way to enable this.

Cheers,
Aidin
