Salesforce to JIRA - Syncing Rich Text Area Field

I am attempting to sync a Rich Text Area field in Salesforce (the standard Idea Body field on the Idea object) to the Description field in JIRA.  However, I am seeing that for most formatting in the Salesforce field is being synced over to JIRA with the HTML tags instead.

How the field looks in Salesforce:

How the field looks in JIRA after it is synced:

Can someone please confirm that this is the expected behavior and formatting from a rich text area field in Salesforce cannot be synced over to JIRA?

I found a similar issue from a previous post but it was some time ago -> https://community.servicerocket.com/servicerocket/topics/html-formatting-in-fields-mapped-from-salesforce-to-jira

Thank you.

I'd just like to chime in as a +1. Our Jira/SF instance is experiencing the same issue as described above. Has there been a resolution or any update on this?

Hi Matthew,

Connector will be synchronizing the plain text between Salesforce.com and JIRA. In this case, the Rich Text Area field is containing the HTML tag which doesn't supported by the Connector.
Thank you.
